Danish Christmas Cookies

            Danish Christmas Cookies

2 cups butter, room temperature
2 cups sugar
1 T vanilla
1 tsp almond flavoring
4 eggs
6 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder

In an electric mixer beat together butter, sugar, vanilla, almond flavoring and eggs for 5 minutes.  Gradually beat in flour and baking powder, blending thoroughly.   Press dough through a cookie press into a long rope.  Then split off pieces and form “O”s.  Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.  Tops should be pale, not brown.
