Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

                Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups quick cooking oats
6 T butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup smooth peanut butter
5 T heavy whipping cream

In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup butter, 1 cup peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.  Add eggs and beat well.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.  Add these dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.  Stir.  Add oatmeal and stir.
Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheet.  Bake at 350° for 10 minutes, or until cookies are a light brown.
 
To Make Filling:  Cream 6 T butter with powdered sugar, 1 cup smooth peanut butter and cream.  Spread filling onto half of the cooled cookies, then top with the other half to form sandwiches.

Yield:  24 cookies
