Banana Cream Pie 2

6 egg yolks
1 cup + 2 Tbs. Sugar
¾ tsp. salt
5 ¼ Tbs. Cornstarch
1 ½ Tbs. Butter
3 ¾ cup milk
1 ½ tsp vanilla

Add sugar, salt and cornstarch in saucepan, stir thoroughly.  Add milk. Stir constantly over heat until mixture thickens.  Boil one minute.  Remove from heat.

In separate bowl, add egg yolks (no membrane), mix.  While stirring eggs, gradually add thickened milk mixture.  After eggs have been mixed with some of the milk add entire mixture back into saucepan.  Bring to boil.  Add butter and stir into mixture until melted.  Add vanilla. 

Slice bananas and put in baked pie shell.  Add cream filling.
