Bacon-Wrapped Water Chestnuts

2 (8-oz) cans whole water chestnuts, drained

14 bacon slices, cut in half

½ cup orange marmalade

¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1 T. soy sauce

Wrap each water chestnut with 1 bacon slice; place seam side down on a wire rack on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet.

Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until bacon is brown and crisp.

Stir together marmalade, red pepper, and soy sauce in a microwave-safe glass bowl.  Microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or until hot.

Brush warm bacon-wrapped water chestnuts evenly with 2 T. marmalade mixture.  Serve remaining mixture as a dipping sauce.   Yield:  14 servings.
