Cherry Crumb Pie

            Cherry  Crumb  Pie

Pie:

1 unbaked pie shell, 9 or 10 inch

1 can cherry pie filling

1 can red cherries packed in water (do not drain)

2 T flour

1 tsp lemon juice

1/8 tsp cinnamon

Sugar crumb topping:

¾ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup sugar

¾ cup flour

¼ tsp salt

½ cup butter

½ cup chopped walnuts   (optional)

    Mix pie ingredients together and pour into a 9 or 10 inch pie shell.  Blend together topping ingredients and sprinkle over cherries.  Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then reset oven to 350 and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
