Flaky Pie Crust

3 cups sifted flour

1 t salt

1 ¼ cup shortening

1 egg, well beaten

1 T vinegar

4 T water

3 T sugar

Sift flour, measure and sift into bowl with sugar and salt.  Add shortening and blend.  Combine egg with vinegar and water.  Drizzle over the flour mixture.  Mix.
