Lemon Cheese Press Cookies Janice King
1 cup butter
1 pkg 3 oz cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 T lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon rind
2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
Blend butter and cream cheese. Add sugar, cream thoroughly. Add egg, lemon juice and rind, blend well. Blend flour and baking powder. Add to cream cheese mixture, mix thoroughly. Chill dough 30 minutes. Heat oven to 375. Force dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
