            Beef Stew for the Crock Pot

3-4 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 T flour

½ tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

1 ½ cups beef broth

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 clove garlic, minced

1 bay leaf

1 tsp paprika

1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained

4 medium carrots, sliced

4 medium potatoes, diced

1 medium onion, chopped

2 stalks celery, sliced

Put beef in Crock Pot slow cooker.  Mix together flour, salt and pepper and sprinkle over meat; stir to coat each piece of meat with flour mixture.  Add remaining ingredients; mix well.

Cover; cook on LOW 10 to 12 hours or on HIGH 4 to 6 hours.  Remove and discard bay leaf.  Stir stew before serving.        Makes 10 servings.
