2013 Apple Crisp
7 apples-peeled, cored and sliced
¼ cup sugar
1 T. lemon juice
Oatmeal topping
1 cup flour
½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
½ cup cold butter, cut into ¼ inch pieces
Topping
Combine flour, oats, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a large mixing bowl
Add the butter pieces, use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the flour mixture until you have pea-size crumbs
Heat oven to 375
Generously grease with butter a 13x9 pan
Sprinkle apples with sugar and lemon juice
Place apples in 13x9 pan
Spread the topping evenly over the apples and press down gently
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown
