Cheesy Potatoes

        Cheesy Potatoes

1 box frozen shredded hash browns

    set out to thaw several hours or defrost in microwave

    when patties are thawed, gently crumble apart with fingers

Saute 1 chopped onion in butter

Add 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Add 1 pint sour cream

Heat in saucepan until warm

Add 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Stir until cheese is melted

Add 1 tsp garlic salt

Put shredded potatoes in 9x13 pan.  Pour sauce over potatoes and mix gently until all potatoes are coated with sauce.

Sprinkle 1 cup grated cheddar cheese over top.

Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
