        Chocolate White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate

2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¾ cup butter, softened

1 ½ cups brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

12 oz. White chocolate chunks

Heat oven to 350 degrees. 

Microwave unsweetened chocolate in microwavable bowl on high 2 minutes until almost melted.  Stir until chocolate is completely melted; set aside.  Mix flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; set aside.

Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.  Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.  Stir in melted chocolate.  Gradually beat in flour mixture.  Stir in white chocolate chunks.  Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. 

Bake 11-12 minutes or until cookies feel set to the touch.  Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute.  Remove to wire racks and cool completely.  Makes about 3 ½ dozen.
